Hannu Ylärinne appointed Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of the Arctia Group. Ylärinne will also continue as CEO of Meritaito.

Mr Hannu Ylärinne has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Vice President of the Arctia Group as of 20 May 2019. He will also continue as CEO of Meritaito Ltd, which is part of the Arctia Group. Hannu Ylärinne will carry out the tasks of Acting CEO of the Arctia Group from 20 May until 1 August, after which Maunu Visuri, who was appointed President and CEO on 15 May, will take over the role. Kim Höijer, who was the previous Acting CEO, will continue as Arctia’s CFO.

Ylärinne has acted as Meritaito’s CEO since July 2017. He has demonstrated strong competence in the company’s operational management and has solid experience in senior management in various maritime organisations. Hannu Ylärinne, eMBA, is Master Mariner by training.
